Under digital skills and digital economy strategy of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa information Technology Board, KP-Digital Internship program is proposed to provide an opportunity to CS, IT and ICT graduates of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa so that they may develop their professional and technical skills and become capable to earn jobs based on those skills

Digital Internship is one of the projects of KPITB through which we offer fresh CS/IT Graduates paid internships at KPITB registered companies for 6 months.

The Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has planned to establish the first Digital City of Pakistan. The site of the Digital City is located at Haripur behind Margala Hills Islamabad. The site is not only one of the most scenic of locations, it also has close proximity to the Islamabad capital territory and to the new International Airport Islamabad.

About 3 months ago, KPITB launched its flagship incubation facility - Durshal Hub in Peshawar. Durshal Hub is unique in the sense that apart from our startups, it houses Government Innovation Lab (GIL) where selected fellows work for 6 months as part of the KP Government Innovation Fellowship Program.

We are pleased to announce Durshal Abbottabad - a joint venture of KPITB and Tech Valley Abbottabad. KPITB has entrusted Tech Valley with running the program.

Being largest network of incubation centers, Durshal is spreading across KP. Our next destination is Bannu. In this regard, we have successfully partnered with University of Science and Technology Bannu. Durshal Bannu is another community innovation lab which is funded by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Information Technology Board - KPITB and will be executed by UST Bannu.

The Safe Women App

Today witnessed an era of safe commute for women of KP, as KPITB launched The Safe Women app.

This mobile app ensures safety of women by connecting them to their friends, family, local security and rescue authorities during their daily commute via the first women only Pink Bus, which is being implemented in Abbottabad and Mardan through financial support from the Japanese Government and technical support from UN Women and UNOPS.

Durshal Innovation Lab Peshawar

After our successful launch in Mardan and Swat, today we formally opened our doors at Durshal Innovation Lab, Peshawar. Present on the occasion was the Senior Minister for Health Information Technology, Mr. Shahram Khan Tarakai along with other dignitaries. Durshal Innovation Lab at Peshawar will serve dual purposes as it will be home to both KPITB's Civic Innovation Fellowship program and Durshal Startup Incubation Program.
