In a groundbreaking move to enhance public service delivery, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Information
Technology Board (KPITB) has developed and launched the Prisoners Visit Management System, a digital
solution aimed at modernizing prison services and ensuring access to basic human rights. The system was
officially inaugurated by the Honorable Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Mr. Ali Amin Khan
Gandapur, marking a significant step toward efficient and transparent governance.
Revolutionizing Prison Services with Digital Innovation
The Prisoners Visit Management System allows friends and family of inmates to:
✔ Book physical appointments for in-person visits
✔ Connect via video conferencing, offering a virtual means of communication
Developed under the Chief Minister’s directives, this initiative ensures that incarcerated individuals maintain
connections with their loved ones, promoting rehabilitation and mental well-being while streamlining the
visitation process. By integrating technology into prison management, KPITB has significantly improved
efficiency, accessibility, and transparency in the system.
A Commitment to Digital Governance
Speaking at the launch, Special Assistant to the CM on ST&IT, Mr. Shafqat Ayaz, reaffirmed KPITB’s
commitment to digital transformation and citizen-centric governance. He emphasized how such initiatives
bring public services to citizens' doorsteps, making governance more inclusive and accessible.
A Future-Ready Approach to Public Service Delivery
The Prisoners Visit Management System is a testament to KPITB’s vision of leveraging technology for public
welfare. By integrating digital solutions into governance, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa continues to set new
benchmarks for innovation and citizen engagement.
With KPITB’s continued efforts, the province is moving rapidly toward a future of smart governance, where
technology bridges gaps, enhances efficiency, and ensures equal access to essential services.
