DIGITAL JOBS
In collaboration with UNDP in 2018 KPITBoard initiated a series of Advanced Digital Skills trainings for the youth of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Under the program a total of 1200 youth were trained in skills like cloud computing and big data analytics. The program had concluded and a total of 500+ in phase I whereas 2500 in phase 2 students were trained. The training duration was for two months and the students were provided certificates at the end of the courses
Benefits/Outcomes
The program was completed successfully training a total of 1,225 youth from the province. As per the employability assessment report. 49% respondents had started to generate income from the imparted skills with an average monthly income of PKR 50,000.
WOMEN EMPOWERMENT
Women Empowerment through Digital Skills" is a key component of KPITB’s Digital Jobs initiative in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Funded by the Multi-Donor Trust Fund and administered by The World Bank, this project is executed by DEMO and TechValley Pakistan. Its core aim is to train 3000 young women in digital skills, enhancing their contribution to the digital economy of the province and the larger digital ecosystem of Pakistan.
Objectives
The primary goal of this initiative is to equip young women with critical digital skills, thereby promoting gender inclusivity in the digital sector. Courses offered include social media marketing, graphic designing, WordPress design and development, blogging, and digital tools productivity.

The project has successfully trained 3035 women, exceeding its initial target of 3000. This accomplishment signifies a strong commitment to empowering women in the digital field. Over 30% of the trainees have achieved employability, leading to an annual income generation of over 225 million PKR.

The 'SheMeansBusiness' program, a collaborative initiative between KPITB and Facebook (Meta), is designed to empower female entrepreneurship in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The first digital skills program launched for Persons’ with Disabilities (PWDs) in line with the equitable digital inclusion objective of KPITB that has been concluded successfully.The initiative provides (Persons With Disabilities) (PWDs) from the province to undergo through a two-month long robust and tailored curriculum, to learn in demand skills based on market needs.

UDACITY SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM
The first of its kind scholarship program launched for the first time in South Asia in collaboration with Udacity aimed at imparting the youth hands on advanced digital skills.Nano Degrees are a copy right of Udacity. Inc. It is efficient and impact driven digital skills program to achieve positive career outcomes with a focus on demand to meet the needs of employers.
Objectives
The content is highly curated—in partnership with industry leaders from Google, Amazon, and Microsoft—to advance expertise in data science, ML, cloud computing, cybersecurity, autonomous systems, product development and more.
It’s a 4 months long learning program that builds real technical skills in about 10-15 hours per week. Every program will consist of multiple modules that deliver engaging learning content. Each module will include practical projects where students apply and demonstrate their skills in a real-world context. Expert reviewers will check all student projects and give individual feedback to further the learning.
KP INNOVATION FELLOWSHIP PROGRAM
The Fellowship Program is a 6-month program supported the KPIT Board, Code for Pakistan, and the World Bank, where a team of talented researchers, designers, community organizers, and developers collaborate to build apps, inspire citizen engagement, improve government, and show how to innovate in public services. These apps can help solve problems in a variety of public domains, such as healthcare, crime, disaster management, citizen engagement, transportation, traffic, education, etc.

- To bridge gap between citizens and government by working together, hand-in-hand, to solve problems
- To adopt user-centric, lean, and agile development methodologies

KP Digital Internship
KP DIGITAL INTERNSHIP PROGRAM is KPITB’s flagship project that provides an opportunity to 150 students graduating from KP universities each year to secure jobs by learning the required skill sets that are sought by employers. The program offers CS and ICT graduates to develop into professionally experienced candidates who allure the employer with their skill sets, capabilities, and experiences and they are expected to bring returns on investments and add value to organizations. This program is also aimed at the provision of human resource support to the companies located in KP it parks for their business operations and sustainability. The duration of each batch of internships is 6 months.
Objectives
- To develop an IT competent human resource pool in the province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
- To strengthen the technical, managerial and corporate skills of the interns according to the needs of ICT industry.
- To fill the gap between industry and academia by providing training to the university graduates through IT & ITES companies of IT Parks of KPITB and Government Departments.

Early Age Programming
KPITB in collaboration with the Elementary & Secondary Education department of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa launched the Early Age Programming project in 2017. The project has produced remarkable results and the computer literacy and digital skill level of the marginalized students of government schools have improved significantly. The curriculum developed for the Early Age Programming initiative is by far the most advanced in the country, leaving behind the curriculum offered by most of the renowned private schools. It is pertinent to mention that the Early Age Programming initiative falls under the Digital Skills pillar of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Digital Strategy. The initiative is well in line with the Sustainable Development Goals and promises to contribute towards the economic uplifting of the country as well as reducing inequalities and improving the quality of education.
Moreover, The flagship early age programming project has been rolled out in more than 900 schools in settled districts while it has been offered in 11 schools in merged districts also which will be scaled up to 90 schools in merged districts.

Digital Freelancers Awards
Under this project, KPITBoard arranges capacity building programs for the freelancers in order to improve their communication skills and profile on freelancing platform. The project also helps in getting a representative estimate of the freelancing industry in which significant statistics is collected of Freelancers trained in our program (the Youth Employment Program). The Digital freelancer’s award is organized every year during Digital Youth Summit in which Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Information Technology Board KPITB awards successful Digital Freelancers for their remarkable performance in freelancing.

Durshal (meaning “gateway” in Pashto) is a flagship project of KPITB that aims to provide Technology-Based entrepreneurship in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Durshal expedite many startups to revolutionize into flourished businesses. Durshal Project envisions the digital transformation of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa by establishing a network of startup incubators and community spaces to facilitate the youth of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa with tech opportunities to empower them with training and enable them to get creative with innovative ideas and launch new businesses.
