Happenings at KPITB

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has decided to extend the Early Programming project to more schools in order to promote science and technology education in government schools. In this way, more computer labs will also be set up in schools, while online training programs of teaching staff will be further promoted.

In this context, a meeting of the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa's Special for Science and Technology and Information Technology Kamran Bangash was attended by Chief Minister for Initial and Secondary Education Zia Lala Khan Bangash, in the state's educational institutions. Various issues were discussed in relation to the plans and expansion of this. The meeting also agreed on the digitalization of district offices of the Department of Education, while the schools were decided to extend the Early H programming project to further schools in order to illuminate children from IT.

High Commissioner of the Prosecutor Kamran Banghan said that the state government's educational institutions will also increase the ATT labs and will be introduced to the children through education and science. He said that science and technology in every field in the modern era is a remarkable fact and it is very inevitable to bring a new generation to the level of school.

There are a number of IT startup companies in Abbottabad IT Park that have grown in size and revenue from startups and early-stage businesses to growth-stage businesses now these IT companies plan to move out of the current subsidized space at the IT Park for further future extension and plan to construct their own business setups.
For this purpose, KP ITB has approved the establishment of a Mini-Tech-Estate, along with IT Park, for allotment to growing IT Park companies on Lease/Build-operate-transfer (BOT) basis.

Early Age Programming is a unique initiative and its curriculum includes state of the art tools and technologies of computer programming.Some of these tools are not even adopted by leading Private Schools. Early Age Programming organized two weeks winter vacations Boot camp in Private schools to share the content and technology with students of Private schools

Dr. Amir Saeed, Assistant Professor Institute of Business Management (IoBM) Karachi conducted training workshop on "Branding & Marketing" with startups at IM|Durshal Incubation, IMSciences, Peshawar.

Mr. Maroof Afzal Federal Secretary for Information Technology and Mr. Raza Shah, Member IT from Ministry of IT and Telecommunication visited office of KPITB today. The team briefed them about the initiatives being taken by KPITB and expressed its interest to collaborate with the federal government on digital governance.

A meeting was held under the chairmanship of Mr. Kamran Bangash, Special Assistant to CM Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for ST&IT today at KPITB to review the progress of following projects.

1. Intelligent Transport System of BRT Peshawar
2. Automation of Courts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
3. Peshawar Safe City Project

Learn to Earn from Fiverr TRS Session was a great learning opportunity for the startups as well as freelancers from different parts of the region.
